Bucharest, 18 March 2025 – The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) announces the official opening of the six-month internship program, which will offer the 16 selected master students the opportunity to develop their professional skills, acquire practical skills, but also to familiarize themselves with the specifics of ASF's work.
The 16 young people participating in the internship program of the ASF, master students of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, were welcomed yesterday at the headquarters of the institution by Mr. Gabriel-Ioan Avrămescu, the First Vice President of ASF.
On this occasion, the ASF First Vice-President addressed a message of encouragement to the young people, emphasizing the importance of gaining practical experience in the financial field and the essential role of ASF in the regulation and supervision of non-bank financial markets.
"The internship program is a unique opportunity to learn from the experience of ASF professionals and to contribute directly to the work of the institution. It is also an important springboard for young people eager to build a career in the financial sector", said Gabriel-Ioan Avrămescu, during the meeting with the young people enrolled in the program.
The internship participants, who have gone through an extensive selection process, with strict evaluation criteria, both at the level of the educational institution and at the level of ASF, will first undergo a general theoretical training module on the Authority's activity. Subsequently, during the course of the programme, the young people enrolled will have the opportunity to learn about the specific activities carried out by ASF (authorization, regulation, supervision, control, etc.). The ASF internship program will also focus on training and career guidance for young people.
During the internship program, which will run from March to September, interns will receive a gross monthly allowance equal to the minimum gross basic salary guaranteed by the country, established pro rata for 80 hours per month.
The Financial Supervisory Authority is thus resuming the internship program, now in its second edition, in order to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the functioning mechanisms of the non-banking financial markets, which are in a constant dynamic.
